The Europeans came and took land off of the Native Americans because they believed that they had the right to because of Manifest Destiny. The Native Americans wanted to share the land but the Europeans didn't.

As the white settler populations grew, Natives were constantly under pressure to retreat away from their native lands. White settlers on the Plains wanted to use the land for larger and larger farms. This caused the Natives to be pushed away. Violence would erupt and US soldiers were there to help the settlers. Soon the Natives were sent to reservations.

they both couldn't live on the same land because they had different ways of living;they really didnt know eachther well. neither group wanted to change:why should they?
