I'm sure you are aware that before the Revolutionary War the British government had placed Boston under military occupation. During that time the soldiers making up the occupying force were quartered in people's homes. People had to provide the soldiers with a place to sleep and food to eat and were not compensated for it. This amounts to theft, by the government, of a family's resources. They are deprived of the rent they might have received had they wanted to take on a border and they are deprived of the cost of the food for the soldier. Beyond that it is an involuntary intrusion intho their home, they were being denied the right to do as they wanted with their own homes.
