New Democracy
Became issues that aroused the common people to political action and fueled the New Democracy.
An end to poverty.
Democratic---------- Who ever wrote this is wrong... about as wrong as you can be. Rousseau desired a fictional (has never existed in reality) government that ruled for community good against the General Will. He believed people were selfish and would rule in self interest. He proposed massive changes to the educational system to instill the importance of communal prosperity and to discourage self mindedness. How Rousseau's government would work is never mentioned. It is more of a social critique than a political philosophy. Rousseau is emphasizing the problems within our own judgements and minds more than the problems within governments. (personal opinion) --------------Rousseau was a political idiot but a social visionary with some very good ideas regarding education that we are only now beginning to realize ourselves.
Wilson referred to his philosophy of restoring democracy as the New Freedom. Woodrow Wilson served as America's 28th President.

Socialism is a left-leaning political philosophy that advocates for democratic control of resources and production to promote equality and social welfare.
The only argument against Democracy is that it can be chaotic and its opposing parties can create political gridlock, but as Winston Churchill said, "Democracy is the worst possible form of government, except for every other kind."The arguments for democracy include a government by the majority that enjoys the support of the majority, while the arguments against democracy include instability caused by changing regimes and political competition and power play at the expense of morality.
There is no such thing as a true democracy. Man makes mistakes, political parties take over, and philosophy on government varies.
