War on Want was created in 1951.
how do people want to change the world?
No many were killed for cowardice. Some did not want to fight because they were to religious to break the commandment "thou shalt not steal". Others sisn't want to fight because they simply didn't want to die. Others didn't want to fight because they did not want to leave their families. On the other hand, many wanted to fight because they were patriots and believed it was their duty.
Beggars are so poor because they want money. Sometimes they just want people to give them more money. They had money but they just want alot more then they have.

Mirabeau Lamar was the second president of the republic of Texas. During the war he was a private and a politician. During Lamar's presidency he tried to drive the American Indians out of Texas and did NOT want to be annexed with U.S.
In my nipples!
Austin
It did get annexed in 1846 and became the 28th state.
lamar hated native americans he didn't want them in Texas
After the many wars that Texas fought to gain their independence from Mexico they had alot of dept. Sam Houston was the first president of the Republic of Texas. He helped Texas get out of some of the dept but not all of it. Since each president could only have 2 years per term Sam Houston could not be elected again. The second president of Texas was M. B. Lamar, he however put Texas in more dept than what is was after Sam Houston's first term. After M. B. Lamar's 2 year term Sam Houston became the president of the Republic of Texas. Again Sam Houston helped Texas out of dept but not completely. The 4th term president of the Republic of Texas was Anson Jones. Jones was not president long before Texas became the 28th state of the Unites States. The United States helped Texas out of dept. When Texas wanted to be annexed be the United States some Americans refused because they didn't want to pay the dept that Texas was in. At some point Texas was annexed by the United States, and then became dept free.
Because the US didn't want to upset the balance between the number of slave and free states (the Missouri Compromise).
Houston has never been the capital of Texas. WRONG!!! Before Texas integrated itself in to the union, and relinquished its domain over the chunks of Oklahoma Kansas Wyoming Colorado and about half of New Mexico that made up what was the Republic of Texas, five sites served as temporary capitals of Texas (Washington-on-the-Brazos, Harrisburg, Galveston, Velasco and Columbia) before president Sam Houston moved the capital to Houston in 1837. In 1839, the capital was moved to the new town of Austin by the next president Mirabeau B. Lamar. So, as far as I know, only once...
to help in the revolutions

First, I think many Americans did not want to deal with a new state that would become a slave state, due to the location of Texas. Also, politicians knew that, even though Texas declared its' independence, Mexico still considered the land a part of their territory. Annexing Texas while Mexico still considered it their land would be political turmoil. However, Texas was eventually annexed, leading to the Mexican-American War.
The US was uneasy in annexing Texas because it would bring about an unbalance of power in the Senate between the North and the South who each wanted an equal number of representatives to side on with the issue of slavery. When Sam Houston beat Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna at San Jacinto he immediately applied for statehood but President Jackson feared the revival of the slavery issue. President Van Buren followed suit with Jackson and did not approve the annexation of Texas. The question of Texas, California and the New Mexican territory were increasingly prominent, and the sectional tension which they produced was destined to lead to the Civil War. President Tyler (a previous Whig whose political party had abandoned him) by means of a joint resolution which only required a simple majority was successful in getting Texas admitted to the Union in 184
