France HAD BECOME A CAPITAL FOR THE ARTS, LOUIS HAD STARTED TO SUPPORT THE ARTS, SUCH AS Opera AND Ballet. HIS INTENT FOR THIS WAS TO GET ARTISTS TO MAKE PICTURES OF HIM, WHAT HE SUPPORTED AND HIS VALUES. FRANCE HAD BECOME AN EUROPEN POWER, MILITARILY AND POLITICALLY. fRANCE WAS STRONG POLITICALLY BECAUSE LOUIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE RULER, THAT MEANT THAT HE HAD ALL THE POWER OF HIS COUNTRY. HE MADE HIS POWER STRONGER BY WEAKING THE POWER OF THE NOBLES AND GIVING IT TO PEOPLE CALLED INTENDENTS. kINGS ALL OVER EUOPE HAD ALSO WANTED TO HAVE AS MUCH POWER AS LOUIS HAD AND DECIDIED TO TAKE POWER AWAY FROM THE NOBLES TOO. THIS GAVE ABSOLUTE RULERS MORE POWER, AND THEIR COUNTRY MORE POWER.
