i was told that the world was once fully connected and that nomads were chasing food and their food had run out were they were so they went across what is now Alaska and found that there was alot of food in Canada and eventually the crossing from Alaska disappeared. hoped that helped :)

Pauline Johnson was born 10mar1862 on the Six Nation Indian Reserve, Brant county, Ontario. The daughter of Mohawk chief and an English mother, her Indian name was Tekahionwake. She started writing poetry in her youth about her Indian Heritage and its history and legends. For many years she toured Canada, the US and England presenting her works. Later she moved to Vancouver and continued to write. She died in Vancouver on 7mar1913. Her contribution to Canada was her lifelong work, preserving the Indian Heritage
the metis people themselves didn't immigrate to north America from anywhere. they are the children of both European and aboriginal couples. metis people first "came" during the fur trade. hope that helps!
