Well, I don't think I know much, but I think I have an idea of it.

So, it defines political boundaries because it caused the British and the French to enforce boundaries between their colonies.

After the war ended, they settled boundaries between Canada, and the United States, in a series of treaties.

This might have not happened without the War of 1812.
