There is no "Canadian Identity". Canada is a Confederation of many Nations each with many cultures and their own identity. One of those Nations include Ontario who saw Western Canada as their own. When those living in Western Canada rebelled against colonization by Canada many people in Ontario took it as an insult on many levels. Rebellions were not acceptable. The response was swift and violent and resulted in Canada, mostly Ontario, creating a paramilitary police force that would be permanently stationed in the West to keep the rebellious locals in check. In that way it shows that those from the Province of Canada are violently opposed to others having input in a Confederation their consider theirs and theirs alone.

Canada's 15 terrestrial ecozones cover a wide range of soil types due to the country's diverse geography. Soils in Canada can vary from rich organic soils in peatlands to nutrient-poor rocky soils in the Arctic. Different ecozones have distinct soil characteristics that are influenced by factors such as climate, vegetation, and geology. Overall, Canada's soils play a crucial role in supporting biodiversity and ecosystem functions across the country.
Canada's ecozones are important because they represent distinct geographic regions with unique environmental characteristics, biodiversity, and ecosystems. They provide valuable information for conservation efforts, resource management, and sustainable development practices. Understanding ecozones helps us adapt to climate change, protect endangered species, and maintain the health of our natural environment.
