I believe Toronto. do not confuse with Olga Nicolaievna- Grand Duchess of Princely Rank ( the oldest) l895-l9l8 who died in the Massacre. Olga who was the sister of the Czar, lived until I believe l96l. By the Way Grand Duchess Olga ( the name roughly translates as ( Grace)) was six foot two and had eyes of blue, I said that "Cat was an Amazon!- this is Nicholas" Daughter not his sister!

Why do Canadian people live in southern part of Canada?

The location of our cities and today's populations, particularly those in Eastern Canada, are in in the southern part because the parts lower have been taken by the USA. Otherwise they would be in the middle part of Canada. Canada's border has been determined by the limits placed on American expansionism. They took as much land as they could by any means available right up to our large and defended cities. That and ease of living. The living is easy in the south, harder in the north.

How does the RCMP show Canadian identity?

There is no "Canadian Identity". Canada is a Confederation of many Nations each with many cultures and their own identity. One of those Nations include Ontario who saw Western Canada as their own. When those living in Western Canada rebelled against colonization by Canada many people in Ontario took it as an insult on many levels. Rebellions were not acceptable. The response was swift and violent and resulted in Canada, mostly Ontario, creating a paramilitary police force that would be permanently stationed in the West to keep the rebellious locals in check. In that way it shows that those from the Province of Canada are violently opposed to others having input in a Confederation their consider theirs and theirs alone.
