First of all , to correct your English Grammar. As you are naming a person, you use capital letter at the start of each name ; Titus Salt, NOT titus salt.

Titus Salt was a Yorkshire businessman, who made and traded in woollen cloth. As a result he became very wealthy. but was also a very philanthropic individual. From this wealth in order to care for his workforce, he built the village of Saltaire, is Yorkshire. 'Salt' from his name, and 'Aire' because it was on the River Aire.

There were three other very philanthropic employers, who did similar acts for their employees. viz. Cadbury, who built Bourneville, Birmingham, William Lever, who built Port Sunlight, Wirral, and the Rowntree family in York .
