at first they didn't want to execute th King and Queen but King Loius kept braking his promises.

1789 to 1799. The revolution occurred because the government raised taxes on serfs that couldn't pay. This was during feudalism so the serfs were already almost worked to death. So when taxes where raised they didn't have enough money to by bread. So the serfs turned against the government thus starting the revolution.
