Oui (Yes in French), she is real, but she lived a long time ago, in 406 A.D. This website http://www.womenofchina.cn/Profiles/Women_in_History/4749.jsp tells of two or three different Mulan's in the same era-Hua Mulan, and Zhao Mulan (I forget Mulan's surname (the third one-if there if one).
