Why bother with History?
Good question but don't stop with just history why learn anything? The world always needs more cleaners and burgers don't fry themselves. If your question is a legitimate one, the simple answer is it shows us (humans) where we have come from, helps learn from the mistakes of the past and hopefully helps us not to repeat them in the future.
