Principally Utah & Omaha: Omaha was close to being a disaster. I do not know if the other beaches were entirly British / Canadian. (Gold Juno Sword). The most notable feature of the D Day landings was that the Germans, for quite some time, thought that they were a feint, that the real invasion would be nearer to Calais, Allied disinformation probably saved many lives.

The Normandy Battle took place on five beaches. The beaches were invaded by parachute and gliders that landed on the beaches. The five beaches were codenamed Juno, Gold, Omaha, Utah, and Sword.

There were about ten different battles fought in Normandy during World War 2. No-one can be precise because some of the battles known under one name were actually several different battles so the number is imprecise.

The Battle of Normandy was fought in Normandy in Northern France, south of the English Channel, between the estuary of the Seine river & the Cotentin Peninsula.
