In August, 1966, Mao Zedong called for the start of a Cultural Revolution at the Plenum of the Communist Central Committee. He urged the creation of corps of "Red Guards" to punish party officials and any other persons who showed bourgeois tendencies. These sessions often included physical violence, and many of the accused died or ended up being held in reeducation camps for years. Mao likely was motivated to call for the so-called Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution in order to rid the Chinese Communist Party of his opponents after the tragic failure of his Great Leap Forward policies. Mao knew that other party leaders were planning to marginalize him, so he appealed directly to his supporters among the people to join him in a Cultural Revolution. He also believed that communist revolution had to be a continuous process, in order to stave off capitalist-roader ideas.
Executions began the French Revolution at the Bastille. They were not state sanctioned, but they were much more then murder or simple mob violence. The actual Reign of Terror goes from 27 June 1793 until 27 July 1793 when thousands met their death.
It remains an important historical moment in Western Civilization in part because of the sound principals it espoused, second because of the violence that it generated and finally because because of some of the errors that lead to unintended consequences.
The Reign of Terror was a period of violence during the French Revolution. It lasted from September, 1793 to July 1794 and is named for the many executions of those denounced as "enemies of the state", mainly in Paris but also in other areas of France. Most were guillotined (beheaded), as were King Louis XVI and his wife, Marie Antoinette, earlier in 1793.

Under certain conditions, Leon Trotsky believed that a Bolshevik revolution need not cause bloodshed. With that said, Trotsky believed that armed insurrection was a valid method to achieve a true revolution. If necessary, he also believed that terrorism was also justified.
No violence. The new King arrived by invitation.
They were strongly opposed to violence and war.
In order to change an unjust government, you need numerous numbers of people on your side. If peaceful negotiations fail, violence may be justified, ie: American & French Revolution. Options are, peaceful demonstrations, boycotts, sit-ins, strikes, civil action, letters expressing your views to politicians in your area, lobby in Congress, vote
It is an extremely subjective question to ask if violence can ever be justified and everyone has a different answer. The question has been argued about in philosophy for centuries.

Nothing- The Beatles released a song called 'Revolution' in 1968 which is featured on The White Album, which supports the idea of social revolution but only by peaceful, loving means and not by violence. There is nothing to specifically link the American Revolution to The Beatles' song.
indeed
Some of the reason the American Revolution was able to avoid the violence of the French Revolution were that what happened was an accelerated evolution rather than an outright revolution. During the conflict people went on working and praying, marrying and playing. Many of them were not seriously disturbed by the actual fighting and the most isolated communities scarcely knew that a war was going on. if this is from the American pageant book it is because cheap land was easily available :)
the level of violence subsided after the american revolution
His view was that he would try to get equal justice for African-Americans by "Any means necessary"; including violence. Much as the American Patriots of the American Revolution used violence to establish their own rights.
