There was an artist called Charlie Pico who travelled around Alberta in the 1950's painting portraits for cash. He was in Jasper, Alberta in the summer of 1957.

I have two portraits of my great aunt and great gran done by Charlie Pico in Victoria, BC - dated 1945. I’m so lucky to have these lovely pieces. Curious that there doesn’t seem to be much info about the artist!
