Mehr-un-nisa was the chief wife of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. She is popularly known as Nur Jahan.
She was first married to Sher Afghan. After the death of Sher Afghan, she was married to Jahangir.
She was a great patron of art and had great influence in the Mughal Court.
She died on 17th day of December, 1645.
