In the earliest Chinese history, the great Creator God was referred to as ShangTi, meaning Emperor above. For at least 4,000 years, until 1911 the sacred Border Sacrifice was conducted each year for the worship of ShangTi. I recommend the book "Genesis and the Mystery Confucius Couldn't Solve", by Ethel R. Nelson and Richard E. Broadberry published by Concordia Publishing House, 1994 for a fascinating look into the similarities between the ancient Chinese and Hebrew narratives regarding creation.
