∙ 15y agoslaves escaped to Canada for freedom because a law on both sides of the war was that you were aloud to retrieve your slaves but once in Canada they were protected by the canadians

Most of the slaves didnt know how old they were or their birthday. All of them worked every day,on some plantations they had Sundays off, and they didnt know their birthday existed.
