The revolt of 1857 was an event of great magnitude but is didn't end the British rule in India. This was because the uprising was not well co-ordinated and there was no centralized leadership. Lack of UNITY was the main cause of the failure of the Revolt of 1857.
main reason for the failure of the Decembrist uprising was that the leaders of the uprising acted hesitantly, lost time and lost the initiative. The Decembrists "stood for" revolution. Meanwhile, the chances of committing revolution were very high. Nikolai was not strong enough to actively oppose the insurgents. Even when they brought guns, it was not for them shells! (powder and buckshot brought only in the evening).

the nature of the national uprising was
a sepoy revolt.
The 1857 Uprising (also known as the Indian Rebellion of 1857, India's First War of Independence, the Great Rebellion, the Indian Mutiny, the Revolt of 1857, the Sepoy Rebellion, and the Sepoy Mutiny) began on 10 May 1857 as a mutiny of sepoys of the East India Company's army in the town of Meerut, some 70 km northeast of Delhi.
The Sepoy Mutiny was a violent and very bloody uprising against British rule in India in 1857. It is also known by other names: the Indian Mutiny, the Indian Rebellion of 1857, or the Indian Revolt of 1857

The spartacist uprising failed because of poor leadership (Rosa luxemburg) and simply because they were fighting the friekorps (freedom corps) who were anti communist veterens of ww1 and current German soldiers of the time.
I would personally choose uprising by muse because its both good and it kind of boost your spirits up when your down
