Their ultimate objective was to obtain a secession of slav provinces from the empire, and unification of southern slavs in a single country (later known as Yugoslavia). Since the anexation, the resistence to the Austro-Hungarian occupation organized meny other attacks to Austrian authorities. Franz Ferdinand and his wife were only the most famous victims.
