Not exactly sure, but George Washington did write it. In, his own copy of of the Rules of Civility & Decent Behavior In Company and Conversation:
"Associate yourself with Men of good Quality if you Esteem your own Reputation; for 'tis better to be alone than in bad Company."

George Washington gave many speeches in his life. However, the most remembered in American History, was his Farewell Address, in which he gave on September 3, 1796. This Farewell Address also told the citizens of the United States, that he would not seek a third term as President of the United States. Some of the main point's from George Washington's Farewell Address included: 1. The basis for our political system in the United States, is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of government. But, the Constitution of the United States, until changed or altered at any time, is sacredly obligatory upon all citizens until such changes are made to the document. 2. He warned about Americans working together, and made it clear that political parties only cause dislike and divisions among the people. 3. Washington, discussed about the good and the moral standards of politics. 4. He emphasised the importance of education. 5. The President told the American people, to observe the good faith and justice toward all nations, and that the United States should avoid getting involved with countries who don't offer good faith and justice toward their people. 6. George Washington stated that as for foreign policy, the United States needed to steer clear of permanent Alliances, with any portion of the foreign world.
Washington's DeathGeorge Washington died in his bed, at his home Mount Vernon, which is in Alexandria, Virginia, where he is also buried. Washington preferred to spend his last years in happy retirement at Mount Vernon, Virginia. In mid-December, Washington contracted what was probably quinsy or throat infection and died at his estate on Dec. 14, 1799.The bed he died in was later in a bedroom at Arlington, an upstairs bedroom at Arlington, the home of George Washington Custis. Arlington later was inherited by Mary Custis Lee, the only child to grow to adulthood. Arlington was seized by the Union at the beginning of the Civil War and was made a cemetery for Union soldiers.
Because George Washington was the first president, I would have to argue that the purpose of Washington's cabinet was to help set the foundation of America. I mean, think about it: it was during Washington's presidency that our banking system was created and established; that term alone set up America's economy for the rest of our lives. Of course, the president uses his cabinet as a reassurance tool, meaning that before he makes huge decisions that will impact millions of lives for the rest of their lives, he must talk it over with his cabinet, first.
He went insane starting in 1810, he would die blind, deaf, insane and alone in 1820.
It is believed that this saying originated from the Spanish writer Cervantes in "Don Quixote." This quote emphasizes the importance of surrounding oneself with positive and supportive individuals rather than negative influences.
George Washington carver was never married therefore he had no children! He died alone.
"be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence" "few men have virtue to withstand the highest bidder" "99% of failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses" "it is better to be alone than in bad company" "guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -George Washington
no, he actually worked with Louis Armstrong
Better to be stay alone than in bad company
It's often better to be alone than to be in the company of people who bring negativity or harm into your life. Choosing to be alone can be a healthier option if it means protecting your well-being and peace of mind. Surrounding yourself with positive influences is important for your personal growth and happiness.
not really. It is better to be alone than in bad company.
"Guard against the postures of pretended patriotism.""When we assumed the soldier, we did not lay aside the citizen.""Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for 'tis better to be alone than in bad company." idk i think this is right ???????????????????????He was Mr. President before he left to Ohio to kill the chickens there with his wife!
Depending on how well you work with others could weigh heavily on the success of starting a company with companions. If you feel you work better alone and not bouncing ideas off of others, then that might be the more successful option in the long run.

Because bad company can and does lead one astray.
I would advise: alone. As the saying goes, ' one becomes like those one hangs around.'
