Well i think it happened since the Hessian's and Britain's celebrate Christmas, so it was a good time since they wouldn't be ready ah no. the battle of Trenton did not happen because they celebrated Christmas it happened because British wanted to take over the Delaware river when the other soldiers owned the Delaware river so that caused the battle of Trenton :)both of u a right (:the Hessians were to busy celebrating the colonist had enough time to stop there route by cutting down trees and blocking everything!
