Kennedy did a huge amount for the black African Americans in North America in the 60's. He was in contact with Dr King which then inspired Kennedy to pass the civil rights bill in 1962, but this was disposed of by the American government, but was passed by the government following his death in 1963. Kennedy also gave support to women of America who lived repetitive lives and didn't have the same rights as men during the 60's. Some say that Kennedy saved the world from a nuclear was which was very close during the Cuban missile crisis, others say Kruschev was the man who saved the world, but there are factors supporting both sides. Kennedy was the man who promised to launch a rocket safely and send a man to the moon and bring him down back to earth alive, this was during a speech he made in 1961, soon as he came into power, this was also a turning point in the space race between USA and the USSR, as the competition grew and more tension between the two increased. Unfortunately Kennedy never saw this happen as the moon landing happened in 1969 and he was assassinated in 1963. Kennedy was known for having several affairs, weather these are true or not is unknown as the is evidence supporting both sides, one of the most famous conspiracy was the affair with Marilyn Monroe. Overall, Kennedy wasn't president for long, and in that short length of time, Kennedy possibly changed America's future completely. Hope this helps! Gingerboyy :-)
John F Kennedy, who was President of the United States at the time of the assassination, was riding down Elm street through Dealey Plaza in a motorcade in a convertible in Dallas, Texas. Nobody has been elected U. S. President and died before taking office. In 1872, Horace Greeley died between Election Day and the day in December when the electoral college elects the President and Vice President, but based on the Election Day results, he would have come in second to Ulysses S. Grant anyway. Also, there's a good chance Robert F. Kennedy would have beaten Richard Nixon in the Election of 1968 if he were not assassinated during the campaign.
