The four pillars in Pennsylvania's Capital rotunda represent the remaining four pillars left in Harrisburg after the fire that destroyed the orignal Pennsylvania Capital building in 1897. The other two orignal pillars now rest near Jersey Shore Pennsylvania. One located at the states largest spring and a memorial to where chief Woodaiug's (King of the susquehannock Indian tribe who signed treaty with William Penn Granting Pennsylvania to the English settlers) wig-wam stood at the begining of Antes Creek. The other pillar stands tall in the Jersey Shore cemetery as a tribute to the soilders who faught in wars from the revloution to when the monument was errected in 1903.
