UFW stands for United Farm Workers, a labor union that advocates for the rights of farm workers in the United States. It was co-founded by labor leaders Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta in the 1960s. The UFW focuses on issues such as fair wages, better working conditions, and labor rights for agricultural workers.

He was the leader of the UFW ( United farm workers) in the 1960's in central CA. As a person who was a farm worker he knew the problems of people working the crops so he sought to get better pay, breaks , restrooms, water provided, equipment without short handles, and other protections for the workers. One of his big movements was the grape boycott and this was to ask people not to buy table grapes so the growers would meet the demands of the UFW.
Cesar Chavez had called it on behalf of the UFW (United Farmworkers Union) in order to receive better working environments for Mexican migrant workers in grape fields full of pesticides.
The UFW helped migrant farm workers by providing them with a means to collectively bargain for better working conditions and wages. It also allowed them to get better health care and living conditions.
