Ah, the good ol' clash of the titans. When the House and Senate can't agree on a version of a bill, they enter a glamorous event called "conference committee." Here, they duke it out and try to reach a compromise that both sides can stomach. If they can't, well, back to the drawing board, folks.

(In the U.S) The President Pro Tempore usually acts as president of the senate. Currently, this is Daniel Inouye.
When the senate and the house of representatives pass a bill that has different version the conference committee writes a compromise bill. This then has to be passed by the two chambers.
I belive that the 2 versions end up in a confrence commitie. A confrence commitie is a joint commitie (house and senate members) and then the form 1 version by mixing the 2. Once done the 1 version will be debated upon and voted on to see if it passes. If passed it becomes a law.
Many times, the House and Senate pass slightly different versions of a bill. If this happens both the House and the Senate appoint conferees to work out a compromise. This committee is called a conference committee.

It goes to a conference committee composed of both Representatives and Senators. They attempt to work out a compromise bill which then gets sent back to both House and Senate for their consideration.
When the House and Senate create different versions of a bill, a conference committee is established to resolve the differences between the two versions. This committee is composed of members from both chambers, typically appointed by the leadership of each chamber. The conference committee negotiates and drafts a compromise bill, which is then sent back to both the House and Senate for approval. If both chambers approve the revised bill, it can then be sent to the President for consideration.
A conference committee!
When the House and Senate pass different versions of a bill, a conference committee is formed to unify the legislation. This committee consists of members from both chambers and works to reconcile the differences between the two versions. Once an agreement is reached, the revised bill is sent back to both the House and Senate for approval before it can be sent to the President for signing.
