William Henry Harrison, ninth President of the United States, served for only 30 days before pneumonia killed him. He was the first president to die in office. He was succeeded by John Tyler, but Harrison's death revealed flaws, which were resolved, in the constitutional succession. His death was long attributed to his catching cold as a result of exposure during the inauguration, but he didn't catch the cold until three weeks later.
William Henry Harrison died of pneumonia after 31 days, not 40. No president was in office for only 30 days though.
Actually, EVERY president was in office for 30 days...

No - there are only 30 days in June.
The battle occured on August 29-30, 1862. Therefore it lasted 2 days.
There has been no year since 1982 in which August had only 30 days. It always has 31 days. The month that follows it, September, always has 30 days.
No, sorry it has only 30 days.
I believe it won't be a true 30 days in that sense it will only be 28 days.
