Maybe Eisenhower, he was an Army General, and was briefly assigned to the Air Corps as it then was known,. Generals get around. maybe he did survive four accidental-or non-accidental (Battle damage) crashes. I have never heard this argued before. Ike was briefly qualified as an air pilot in the AAF but was best known as a Ground Pounder (Ground Army Man).
