School lockers are so small because they only need to fit a few books and other supplies into them. Schools also must keep lockers small due to lack of space in their overcrowded buildings. Each school may need hundreds of lockers for students.

Theres many reasons and many styles of lockers,At school i have a locker like the ones in the movies that are big and im only in 7th.we also had ones that were 7ft tall and 3 feet wide But it depends on your schools budget, how old the Lockers are,and How big are your books, also it could be your age,This year my locker was bigger and better Then last year and they should get better every year depending.

Actually, my locker (that I share with a friend) is a square metal box. Enough to fit 3/4 of my books and 3/4 of hers, but nothing else. Why are they always so small? Cost. If you like math, take the number of lockers in the school and ask the principal for the cost of each one. And there's your answer.
