A constitution is a body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.

We need a constitution because without it the state or country would be in a state of anarchy and also the government would be disorderly. A constitution protects our freedoms.

A Constitution stipulates the laws that should guide governance in a nation. The functions of all government agencies and departments are defined in the constitution. It highlights the belief systems of a country. It also sets out the rights of individuals, businesses and corporations.

All civilized societies need laws in order to survive. The U. S. Constitution serves as the foundation and outline of the United States' system of laws and basic rights. It also describes the how the country's governments work.

Without USC, there would be no president, or judges, or any of those things in governemnt and Washington that preside over our safety and rights. It would be pure chaos without a place of power, and there really wouldn't be a US.

Every aspect and institution of human civilization requires some form of government to prevent injustice and maintain order. People need boundaries. The healthiest, happiest children are those with clear boundaries. Citizens are subject to the laws of the land in which they reside. Property is secured with boundaries. Armies and business organizations are subject to internal and external rules of order and discipline.

Perhaps our forefathers recognized the separate and distinct roles of the state and the family, and they gave us a limited system that minimized reliance on the state while maximizing reliance on the more organic spheres of the family. When man trusts in God, he looks beyond government for his needs. A self governing society results with strong families, communities, and charitable institutions. The need for civil government is minimized and personal liberty is maximized.

The reason the constitution was needed because it a basis of laws for the time period in the 1700s so that the Boston Tea Party wouldn't happen and same with the Declaration of Independence it just layed down laws so chaos wouldn't't keep happening

  • When the oppressor and the oppressed plan to live together as equals, it is not easy to trust each other, they have their fears.
  • Each wanted to safeguard their interest. The only way to build and maintain trust in such a situation is to write down some rules that everyone would abide by.
  • These rules lay down how the rulers are to be chosen in future. They determine the powers of the elected government and what they cannot do.
  • These rules decide the rights of the citizen and will work only if the winners cannot change them easily.
  • All over the world people have difference of opinion and so any association, cooperative club, a political party or a government needs a constitution.
