There is no Greek word for "evil" because evil is just bad with more malicious or sinful intent attached to it. However the Greeks didn't look at things that way.
The most commonly used words for "Evil" are kakos (bad) and poneros (sly). I suppose it depends on what you are reading or what the implication is.
