There are a number of Greek Achievements. In arts , sculptures of Phidias, and the Parthenon are the prominent achievements. In sports, it would be the Olympic games. Other areas of achievements include political science, poetry, mathematics, science and history.
Some of the greatest achievements in the Greek culture of ancient times are found in the areas of art and science, as they valued creativity, on one hand, and, on the other, the acquisition of sure knowledge in more influential ways than other ancient civilizations. Their discovery (or, invention) of democracy, if only in limited form, is yet another of their greatest achievements.

- A man named Anaxagoras brought philosophy from Ionia to Athens. He tried to give a scientific account of eclipses, meteors, rainbows, and the sun.
- Another achievement is the ability to collect his materials systematically and arrange them in a well made narrative. This was brought upon the culture by a man named Herodotus.
- Aeschylus wrote plays according to Aristotle. Theatre has been around for thousands of years, and Aeschylus' play "The Persians," taught us much about Greece back then.
Between 500 and 300 BC is when the Greeks made many contributions to world history. This period is often called a golden age (a period in a society's history marked by great achievements).
