Yes, there were farmers in Ancient Greece. They also cultivated grapes for wine.

About 80% of ancient Greeks were involved in farming of one sort or another. Their crop consisted of about 90% Barley with some wheat and millet. the cultivation of olive trees along with figs almonds and pomegranates was undertaken in orchards. Grapes were also well suited to the rocky terrain and soil of the area. Vegetables such as cabbage, onions, garlic, lentils, chick pea and beans were grown in vegetable gardens along with herbs such as sage, mint, thyme, savory, oregano and others. Oilseed plants such as linseed, sesame, and Poppy were also cultivated.
