He really wasn't given one he is mute in any of the myths I know, basically he is just the god of the West Wind but all he does is just be a wind. Add on: He is a being with beatiful white wings that does resemble the west wind which resembles Spring. He has a soft side for nature, wind, and maidens though. But when in a situation he doesn't like, he becomes hotheaded and deadly. Ex: He had a love competition with another being for some chick. One day while his rival was playing a game with the girl that involved using a wooden disc,Zephyrus became angry. With his power to control the wind,he sent the disc flying, killing the rival. And he was supposed to represent the most gentle wind BD. He took the girl and married her. I'm pretty sure that girl was Chloris which means greenery. Unless that girl was just his girlfriend for a time and then he met Chloris. I'm not sure... One thing for sure is that they had a son named Karpa which means fruit. So he beared fruit in spring. Zephrus is pictured to be young, handsome, fit guy who had wings. People just think zephyr as a god,the east wind, the west wind, ect. I think also means angel though. Just an opinon. You just go the low down on Zephyr or Zephyrus.
Jillian is Latin for "Down-Bearded Youth", down is the soft undercoat of feathers on a bird - especially the covering of a baby bird. When a young man first begins to grow hair on his body (beard, pubic hair, chest hair, underarm hair) it comes in the same texture as the head on the hair - soft and straight, like down. Thus a "down-bearded" man would be a very young one.
