The achievements of the ancient Egyptians include a mathematical system, surveying and construction techniques that facilitated the building of monumental pyramids, temples, obelisks. An effective system of medicine, new forms of literature and agricultural production techniques.
Egypt left a lasting legacy: art and architecture were copied and antiquities paraded around the world, and monumental ruins have inspired the imaginations of tourists and writers for centuries. The respect for antiquities and excavations in the early modern period led to the scientific investigation of Egyptian civilization and a greater appreciation of its cultural legacy for Egypt and the world. It is the first civilization that had a book of dead - instructions for the dead people of their society.

The ancient language was hard to decipher. The pyramids are ancient. The book looked like it was ancient. The ancient troll rose to his feet and swiped the poor merchant down the mountain.
they were last there at 2650BC and now its 2010 so that is............................................ 4660 years ago and the pyramids are still standing! It's debatable when the Egyptian Empire actually ended. It had been in decline for a long time before the end came. It is acceptable to use the death of the last Pharaoh as the end point of Ancient Egypt. The last Egyptian Pharaoh was Cleopatra and she reigned from 51-30 B.C. With Cleopatra's death came the end of the Egyptian Pharaohs. By the time Cleopatra came to power, there wasn't much of an Empire left. It was an imperial province of the Roman Empire. So about 2000 years since the end of the Ancient Egyptian Empire.
the eqyptian hieroglyph that underlies the word prince in English texts is transliterated SR. the letter e is often added to fill out Egyptian words since the hieroglyphic alphabet, as it is currently understood, didn't have vowels. if it is left untranslated into English, it would apear as the title Ser (or Sar). it is sometimes left this way, as there is occasional debate as to whether the modern word prince adequately conveys the ancient meaning.

The Egyptians built the pyramids to house their Pharaohs in the afterlife. Many people who weren't a pharaoh, like important people in Egyptian history, were buried along with the pharaohs. Oftentimes, Pharaohs were buried with trinkets and food and wine because they believed that when their spirit left their bodies they took the possessions with them. as for the Mayans and every other civilization that constructed pyramids, I do not know why. I'm guessing that they built them for many the same reasons although the Mayan pyramids were definitely built before the Egyptian pyramids.
The Mayans left behind a rich cultural legacy that includes impressive architectural structures such as temples and pyramids, intricate artwork, a complex writing system, and advancements in mathematics and astronomy. Their legacy also includes a deep understanding of the natural world and a sophisticated agricultural system.

No. This is not true. The pyramids were actually created in Ancient Egypt under the supervision of the Emporers and Pharoahs, but were planned and created by the mastermind of the time, Albert Einstein. He created the structures of the pyramids and left the plans for the pharoahs and emporers to use after he left. The plans were much to complex for the people of that time and so that is why they are not at their full capibility, design, and strength to be used as they once were.
