bronze
I'm not sure but the soldiers were called hoplites. is that any help?
Ancient Greek armor was made out of bronze, and out of harder alloy than many of our modern bronze stuff are made from.So don't mistake it for golden looking modern items. Also it greatly depends on era of century BC you are talking about.

Ancient Greece wasn't "founded", it just kind of happened and no particular person sat down and wrote up the "Constitution of Ancient Greece." Rather, it was a collection of independent city-states founded at various times by different people or groups of people, who certainly would not have regarded themselves as "ancient" anything, but rather as the very cutting edge and pinnacle of culture (and in some ways they were right to do so).
rich people in ancient Greek wore necklaces bracelets made out of gold they had every kind of jewelry in gold and Ruby's diamonds
Slaves didn't get paid. They received food, somewhere to sleep and if they were lucky clothes.
