No because in the myth, they died before they got married
The myth describes why Narcissus Lilies (which we call Daffodils) always face down. Echo was already cursed by Hera to repeat what she heard, but in the myth, she pines away because of the spurning of Narcissus. Only her voice remains, creating the echos we hear today.
echo loves narcissus but he rejects her and she dies so narcissus got a curse put on him where he could only love himself so he had pity on himself and was turned in a flower on the riverbank..!!
Hera is married to Zeus... so no... but appearently Zeus cheated on Hera in the myth of 'Echo and Narcissus'...
We did a whole unit on mythology and I learned and read ALOT! Echo and Narcissus is greek and here's the story I remember reading..." One day Echo was climbing a mountain after being told he was annoying and talked too much. He said something and narcissus said as a punishment for being to annoying and talkative he may not speak unless spoken to and has to repeat everything that anyone says". It was a much longer story but that's what I remember...hope I answered your question!
Don't fall in love with yourself. That is the moral.
Yes. The story of Echo and Narcissus is a flower myth from Greek mythology.
Where echoes come from, and where the flower narcissus does - the flower the Greeks call narcissus is different than the one in the US.
No because in the myth, they died before they got married
a theme for echo's character can be not to talk a lot. a theme for narcissus is not to be too conceited about yourself.

Many words in the English language today have origins in various myths and legends. Examples include "narcissistic" from the myth of Narcissus, "herculean" from the myth of Hercules, and "echo" from the myth of Echo and Narcissus. These words have entered common usage to describe characteristics or actions that reflect the stories of these mythical figures.
The usual origin myth for Echo was probably invented by the Roman poet Ovid in the first century BC. According to Ovid, Echo was a wood-nymph who fell in love with the beautiful youth Narcissus. But Echo could only repeat what had just been said to her, so Narcissus found her a tiresome companion (and anyway, Narcissus had fallen in love with his own reflection). Echo pined away with love of Narcissus, until only her voice remained. Narcissus became a daffodil gazing longingly at its own loveliness beside a mountain pool. And they all lived happily ever after.

The moral behind the myth of Narcissus is a warning about the dangers of excessive self-love and obsession with one's own image. It teaches us the consequences of vanity and the importance of balance in self-perception and relationships.
