Some ancient Greeks had shops mainly in their central market place (the Agora) where they sold any items they did not want. The Agora is a marketplace/ meeting place where a lot of the ancient Greeks went to, to meet other people and buy stuff.

Yes, they did. Merchants would have shops or stalls to sell their wares. Craftsmen would many times have their goods and workshop combined. For example, a jewelry maker would have his creations displayed (and watched) in the front of his shop and have a workplace in the back.
