Homer ['Ομηρος] is the ancient Greek poet who wrote the epic poems of Iliad and Odyssey. Iliad presents the ten years war between the Greeks under the leadership of the Achaeans against Troy. Odyssey presents the adventures of the ten years return journey of one of the major leaders of the victorious Greeks - Odysseus king of Ithaca.
