Roman villas came in all sizes. Some were no more than large country houses while others were true villas whereas they were large, luxurious, and self-supporting. There was no set size for a country house to be designated a villa.

The number of people who can fit in a Roman would depend upon the size of the bath. A bath in a private home may only have had room for two or three people, while an imperial public bath could hold hundreds.

70 to 80 people could fit in a roman galley
Roman galleys were powered by a combination of sail and oars. They were predominantly fighting vessels and carried from 50 to 80 oarsmen arranged in various rows and tiers dependent on the type of ship and a marine contingent. The sailors would have been highly skilled and formed an elite. The marines would have also been highly skilled in sea fighting and would have been well looked after. The conventional view of the oarsmen is that they were slaves, deserters, criminals and POW's and that they were chained and whipped to produce results. The life of an oarsman in the galleys would not have been easy but they had to have been well fed and fit in order to do their job.
To be in the Roman army you had to be a male and a Roman citizen and in reasonably good health, both mental and physical. However, as the empire expanded there were not enough Roman citizens so they used auxiliaries who were generally recruited by allied kingdoms. Upon discharge, the auxiliaries were granted Roman citizenship.
its a simple question that, with enough knowledge of rome, is obvious, but to answer your question rome was a Democracy, actually a republic/ democracy, who ellected there officials. take the ellectoral colleges today for example. when the first king of rome, Romulus, died, the 100 senitors (Chosen by Romulus) would have trouble finding a new one so they gave the power of choice to the people, but in exchange for giving them the power, they would decided if there choice was wise and they would really decied who was to be king if the people had, acording to the senate, chosen a bad polotician or someone the senate thought was not fit to be the king of rome. this continues throught the empire, even after the age of the republic when the emporers take charge, the senate remained, simply because they thought that one man with all the power could not govern a vast empire such as the roman empire. even tho an emperor exsisted amongst them elections still took place. the people ellected senators, goveners, and etc. they also had three branches of government the LEGISTRATIVE, JUDICIAL, and EXECUTIVE. so these are just few examples. i hope this help ;)
