I could be wrong on this, but I don't think Italy (Rome) has a president. If they do, he's only a figurehead. The Italian government has a Prime Minister as its chief executive.
There is not and there has never been a president of Rome. Currently Rome is the capital of Italy. Therefore, there is a president of Italy, not of Rome. ancient Rome did not have presidents.
