The English fleet Vice amiral Horatio Nelson died during the battle but the strategy he chose to fight the french and Spanish fleet will give victory.

Knowning the English inferiority in numbers of ships and men, but with a better armed ships and a more coherent fleet, he decided to use the wind to gain speed charging directly on his opponents flank rather than longing the franco-spanish parallely as the navy's strategies of that time used to recommend.
