On December 7, 1941 when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. 6 Japanese Carriers launched 352 planes which sank the Battleships Arizona, Oklahoma, California, and West Virginia killing close to 3,000.
Land was not destroyed at Pearl Harbor. The bombs destroyed buildings and shore facilities. They sank many ships and destroyed aircraft on the ground. They were unable to destroy the facilities used to repair the ships, which proved a major factor moving forward in the war.
It was the attack of Pearl Harbor that made the US join the allies.
because japan attacked pearl harbor (i don't know the dates) and the us got mad and also because japan and Germany sank some of their ships.so they went to war
There was no battle that got the US into WW II. In Europe, we came to the aid of our allies, Britain and France, whom Germany had declared war on. In the Pacific Ocean, the Empire of Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, and sank all the battleships, there, and killed a number of military and civilian people, then declared war on the US. The US declared war on Japan, and thusly got into that part of the War.
