1. Operation Rolling Thunder was one of the most famous, this was conducted by US Airmen
2. Operations Linebacker and Linebacker II were the most devastating to the enemy, agains conducted by US Airmen.
3. Operation Junction City may have been one of the most successful campaigns performed by US ground forces.
4. The Incursion (invasion) of Cambodia ordered by President Nixon was nearly earth shaking; causing nation wide protests, and a shooting at Kent State in Ohio, killing 4 American students.
5. Operation Game Warden conducted by the US Navy's Brown Water Navy; US riverine boats performed offensive operations thru-out the river systems of South Vietnam.
6. Operation Lam Son 719, the disasterious final offensive of the US Army. And the first clash between North & South Vietnamese tanks.

1. 1955-1964 guerrilla warfare restricted to South Vietnam. 2. 1964-1975 open warfare between US & North Vietnam. Note: US ground operations ceased by 1973; US presence dissolved in 1975.
