1. economic and social differences between the north and south.
2. states vs. federal rights
3. fight between slave and non slave proponents.
4. growth of the abolition moment.
5. the election of Abraham Lincoln.
The Civil War had little to do with anything but slavery. "States rights" meant the right of states to allow slavery.
The southern states wished to have laws that were different from some of those in the north, specifically meaning laws which allowed slavery. When they feared they would no longer be able to have such laws, they seceded from the United States of America to form the Confederate States of America.
Slavery led to the Civil War.
The major difference is the question of slavery. In reality slavery was a minor issue. The major causes of the war were the same that led to the war of independence from Great Britain.
Slavery was not the cause of the war. The war was about economics.
A reason that is NOT for the Civil War is to get more land.
Slavery was actually ended by a law originally established by Abraham Lincoln. After the civil war slavery was banned and illegal
SLAVERY .
SLAVERY .
slavery ;) thats it
stopped the civil war
I know one had to do with slavery
One of the causes was the North and South's differing views on slavery.
True. Slavery had very little or nothing to do with the reasons for the American civil war.
No. The root causes of the American Civil War were economic (taxation) and political (states' rights).
Slavery.... And of course the fire on fort Sumter.
The South wanted to secede from the union, but the North wanted to stay as one country. The North wanted to abolish slavery but the South wanted to keep slavery.
some historical causes of the civil war were slavery and the splitting of the country people wanted to keep it together whcih caused it to split
There are many causes to the civil war one was slavery becasue the south wanted to cede from the union so that they could have slavery.
