Believe it or not, as much as Hollywood, radio, television, poets, teachers, and history books never mention it...it's FOOD. Starvation is probably close to being the number difficulty during any war, and that includes the Vietnam War...in which even though hi-tech helicopters brought in food (cases of "C" rations), the men were always hungry. Imagine how hungry fighting men were in past wars, when they didn't have helicopters!

Civilians suffer the worse...they don't have "C" rations. They have to "beg" GI's for the rations.
