The Soviets supplied North Vietnam with Surface to Air Missiles (SAM's), Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AAA), MIG-17 and MIG-21 Jet Fighter Aircraft (Red China supplied MIG-19 (J-6 versions of the MIG-19) Jet Fighter Aircraft) to the North Vietnamese Air Force; as well as tanks, small arms, ammunition, ordinance, patrol boats, trucks, communication systems, radars, etc. The communists won their first war against the free world in 1975.
