Do you mean total world war or total war between two or more countries. Whatever, total war is the hatred of one people for another and the desire to destroy as much of the population as possible. The result is misery on both sides for no one side actually wins. Total war means the destruction of a people by the victors. The hatred that man feels towards his neighbor is unleashed and nothing but common sense can stop the carnage. If there is but one man left standing then he might as well fall upon his own sword (Figuratively speaking) for he will be alone and remain alone. You ask the result, it is total desolation.

The financial burden that happens when there is war. Looting, or scamming individuals of what little money or property they may still have.
