Yamashita General Hideki Tojo was a General in the Imperial Japanese Army. He also served as Prime Minister of Japan during a lot of World War II (October 18, 1941 - July 22, 1944). The Bataan Death March was used to arouse fury in the minds of the people of the United States. This march showed Japans brutality and militarism in a negative way and created more tension between the Japanese and the Americans. This hatred made the Americans more determined against the Japanese in the Second World War.

Isoroku Yamamoto died on April 18, 1943 at the age of 59.
